   Get Happy,
   I have a new client with acne who is black. Do I have to be careful doing extractions? I lance. What about discoloration from pimples? Is whitening serum what she needs? I know I have to have her on a tyrosine (sp) inhibitor before peels or microderm. What do I need to know?

   Treat the skin as you would any acne client. The discoloration from the pimples can be treated with a lightening serum. The only thing that you should keep in mind is that black skin tends be drier. Let me know if this helps.
